Customer Question

Hi
Have a zanussi zwf1632w. On all programmes the machine jumps to drain. If I clear this it displays the washing programme, when I press start, it jumps to drain. Have cleared drain hose/filter. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi

Lets see what the error code is.

Turn it on and select any cycle.

Then press and hold the start button and the skip/reset button.

Keep them both held in and after a few seconds the error code will come up by the start and end lights flashing.

Count the number of flashes from each of the lights in between the pause and let me know.

3 - both start/pause and end led. And then a 4th end led only.

Ok so just to double check you got

4 flashes from the end.

3 flashes from the start

Is this correct?

just repeated it, 3 flashes both and a 4th end only.

Thanks for that.

This is a door lock issue here.

What you need to do is open the door and remove the plastic clamp holding the door seal on.

Then you can unlip the seal from the front of the washer.

Then make sure the washer is unplugged and then remove the 2 screws holding the door lock on.

Now pull the door lock through the porthole and remove the plastic cover over the wiring block.

Now disconnect the wiring and inspect it. Normally for this error code and fault you have the wiring block has burnt out and the lock has as well.

If so then you need to replace the door lock and then retag each wire on there own and rewire the door lock back up.

Then that will cure the fault. So check that and see what you find and let me know.
