Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! Next to the sink will not be an issue. Below the window may be, though. The heat rising during cold months will cause a great deal of condensation on the window, not to mention the cooking fumes sticking to the glass. You really should place it where a hood may be mounted. Also, any window coverings would be subject to heat and cooking fumes.
