We have a Hotpoint FZA34 Freezer that seems to have stopped

Customer Question

Hi, we have a Hotpoint FZA34 Freezer that seems to have stopped working. It tripped the circuit and although this reset ok, the freezer defrosted the contents and although the lights are on there's no sound coming from it (and obviously it's not freezing again)

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! The electronic control has likely shorted or the compressor has given out. Do you hear and humming or buzzing followed by a click?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No there is no sound from it at all

I suspect the main control is faulty. Do you have a meter to perform any testing with?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No I don't.

I would recommend replacing the main control PCB or calling for service to avoid replacing parts as a guess.
