Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! If it will not drain, it is because the pump is faulty or there is a blockage. Can you hear the pump running when it should be draining? Have you inspected the drain hose at the connection to your home's plumbing for blockages?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I hear the pump even when the machine beeped when finished but the water stays in the machine.
I disconnected the machine and put it outside on the terrace, reconnected it and left the hose on the floor. It did not work either (prewash program 22 minutes). As far as I can see the hose seems to be free.
I can see how to access the pump.
In october 2013, you had a discussion about the pink styrofoam. I can see it but I am not sure what it should look like.
I have no idea how to access the pump that seems to be hidden by the styrofoam.
Could it be likely that the pump was damaged by liquid drain cleaner that could have entered the dishwasher when the waste water pipe was blocked?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Sorry I meant: I cannot see how to access the pump.
Expert:  Kelly replied 1 year ago.

I suspect it is just a blockage, probably no damage to the pump. The side panels should come off for access to the pump.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I removed the left side panel (looking from front) and I am blocked to access the pump by all kind of plastic stuff including what you named the styrofoam.
The drain pipe itself is free of any blockage.
By the way, I also removed the grid inside the dishwasher under the filter. The small propeller seems to be turning free.

Is there water in the plastic base?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Not sure but the machine is on its right side so there should not be any water left.
I was cautious not to put it on its door (water, electronic, etc.)
Expert:  Kelly replied 1 year ago.

Okay, good. Can you hear the pump turn on when it should be draining?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I hear a noise when it should be draining. Not sure what it is but it sounds like an electric motor and it keeps making noise even after the 5 beeps indicating program end.
The drain pipe is coming out of some plastic device. Where/how is the pump connected to the drain pipe?
Expert:  Kelly replied 1 year ago.

The drain hose is connected directly to the pump.

I'll sent you a picture

Perfect, thank you!

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Should I check if the hose on the left (coming from the pump is free?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Sorry on the right
Expert:  Kelly replied 1 year ago.

The hose on the right is probably plugged from the looks of it.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
When I blow into the hose on the right (some resistance) it makes bubbles in the tank
Expert:  Kelly replied 1 year ago.

Okay, if you put some water in the tub and turn the machine on to drain, does it drain out and into the plastic tank on the side and then out to the left hose?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
For the night, I placed the machine in the garage. It cannot be connected directly to water.
I put 2 liters of water in the tank with a bottle.
I disconnected the right hose from the plastic stuff.
I started the prewash, I believe it starts by pumping out water that would remain in the tank, isn't it?
It made some noise but no water was pumped out.
Expert:  Kelly replied 1 year ago.

Yes, it will drain at first. It sounds like the pump is faulty.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Can I access it?
Expert:  Kelly replied 1 year ago.

The plastic base will have to be removed, or at least loosened so it may be pulled down.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I cannot see any way to get it loose. Would you have some clues?
Expert:  Kelly replied 1 year ago.

There should be screws along the top edge at the frame. They are start shaped Torx screws.

I'll have a look. Can we continue our discussion tomorrow, it's already 1am in Belgium?
Expert:  Kelly replied 1 year ago.

Sure, just reply when you can, goodnight.
