Basically it is no longer working - cooling and the temp alarm is on permanently and it is making a lot of noise like there is water swimming around in it. Any ideas how we can fix it?

ZRB939NW2 yup, fridge freezer, thanks!!

Hi

Thanks for that. If you have that noise like water is running then its a system fault im afraid on this.

Its either a compressor fault, Diverter dryer valve or it needs a regas. As the water noise you hear is the ga s bubbling inside as its unable to get pumped around the system.

Im afraid for this you will need to get a fridge engineer in to fix this as it isnt a diy repair im afraid. They will need to put there gauges on the back to see what pressure the compressor is pumping at and see if the diverter valve is working fine.

Sorry its not good news but if you need anymore info just get back to me.

Regards

Thanks, ***** ***** turn it off in the meantime?
Expert:  Daniel T. replied 1 year ago.

I would as its not working correctly and the compressor will be sitting there getting very hot so probably best to switch off.
