Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! The most common cause of poor or no ignition is lack of spark. Use sand paper to clean the electrode tip and the area it sparks to and see what happens. Does the behavior change after cleaning?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it does spark so doesn't need the cleaning . it just doesn't light a flame
Expert:  Kelly replied 1 year ago.

The spark may be weak or misdirected, clean with sand paper both areas and see what happens, please.

ok will try and then feed back.

Will it light manually with a lighter?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I will try but sounds unlikely ..cant hear any gas..but the other rings work...?

There may be a gas solenoid not operating.

May I please have your model number so I am able to provide you with accurate, model specific information?
