When the green light is on the oven will not work
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
The green lock signal won't go out. Door can be opened
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I tried turning off the power to oven but comes right back on

Hi, my name is ***** ***** I look forward to helping you! If the lock light is staying on and the latch is not in the locked position, the switch on the latch assembly is probably faulty. The latch assembly will probably need to be replaced is that is the case. May I please have your model number so I am able to provide you with accurate, model specific information?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Thank you Kelly. The model number I am not sure of but on the manual it says GB-IE and it is either SAP306X-9 or SAP578X-9
Expert:  Kelly replied 2 years ago.
Thank you. Does the door open and close easily? What happens if you select a cleaning cycle?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Door opens and closes easily. We did try to run it through the self clean process yesterday but it didn't seem to do it
Expert:  Kelly replied 2 years ago.
Does it program like it is going to but then just not heat?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I am not sure. My wife is not here currently and she does the self.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I have the manual so if you like I could. Try to start it
Expert:  Kelly replied 2 years ago.
You can or she can when she returns and you can just post back when you are able.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I'll put it on ecoP. It says it will lock the door within 2 mins
Expert:  Kelly replied 2 years ago.
Okay, keep me posted!
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
On ecoP the program sets for 1hr 30 mins as the manual suggests, letter A comes up on the display, the fan is on, no heat, green light remains on as always and the door doesn't lock
Expert:  Kelly replied 2 years ago.
I think that latch assembly will need to be replaced. The switch on it is telling the control that the door is locked when it is not. There is a second switch that has to be closed usually, the reason it will not heat. I will need the exact model number, though, to get you the correct latch.

Are you saying the model number is ***** of the 2 numbers I gave you?
Expert:  Kelly replied 2 years ago.
Yes, it may be. The numbers are different and use different latches.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
When my wife comes back she may be able to look up the purchase details. Will reply then. Thanks
Expert:  Kelly replied 2 years ago.
You bet, thank you!
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Hi Kelly. The model number is *****
Expert:  Kelly replied 2 years ago.
Great, thank you! That door lock assembly is available below.

The oven will need to be pulled out to remove the top access panel for replacement.
