Hi, I'm Daniel and I'll be helping you today I've been repairing white goods for 20+ yrs. and currently work for a well-know manufacturer.
Can you post the model number please.
the model number is rsxs661cr/c
If theres no power since the bulb blew it may have taken the control board out.
The board should be located on the top of the appliance.
Take the cover off to expose the power board and take it out and see if it has blown.
Let me know what you find.
would it be obvious if the control board has gone ? or would i have to get a tester on it ?
do you think i could fit a new control board ?
If its blow you will see it. As the solder tracking will have burnt.
But it may look ok but it could still be faulty. But if theres no power to the appliance but the power supply is fine and you have tested the socket its pluged into then its usually the control board itself at fault.
Last question ! I promise !!
i've look at the spare parts website , would it be a, power module or a PCB
It will be the power module its a big square board. As the other pcb is the front one on the freezer door.
