Hi. I've go a zanussi ZWF14581W washing machine and cannot get the filter out to clean it. Any suggestions please.
Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I look forward to helping you!

Cleaning the pump
The pump should be inspected if
● the machine does not empty and/or spin
● the machine makes an unusual noise during
draining due to objects such as safety pins,
coins etc. blocking the pump.
Proceed as follows:
● Disconnect the appliance.
● If necessary wait until the water has cooled
down.
● Open the pump door.
● Place a container close
to the pump to collect
any spillage.
● Pull out the emergency
emptying hose, place it
in the container and
remove its cap.
● When no more water comes out, unscrew the
pump cover and remove it. Always keep a
rag nearby to dry up spillage of water when
removing the cover.

Have already done all of that.
What I cannot do is get th filter out from in front of the pump.
If you have unscrewed it, it should pull out. You may need a plier if it is not easily removable.

It will not come out.
It's as if there is something stopping it. I can pull it out just enough to get a finger in behind the cap but no further.
You will need to replace the pump in that case.

No - I want to get the filter out. The m/c is working OK.
It should unscrew and pull out. If it won't, you will either have to force it out or replace the pump. There really is no other choice.
