Good morning, Do you have the make and model number so I can better assist you ?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

model #rb790sh4sa///series lm234552r///unable to remove top cover to view burners. light shows that the burners are on but they are not Hot.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

it is a Hot Point Stove ,,Model number is XXXXX

okay, now does the oven work ?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

the Oven does not work either.

okay this is most likely a power issue not the range. do you have a volt meter ?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

no volt meter. the power source is ok, because i plug in an old unit and that unit light up.

okay when you say lights up do you mean the clock ? did the burners actually work on the other unit ? if so there may be a bad wire in the range your having problems with. can you remove the back panel on it ?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i will read your reply later i am running late for work. when i indicate light up i was referring to all parts and lights of the old unit was working. The unit in question was working just as good two days ago before the problem surface. thank you ,,,,, will read your respond later...

Okay, well the first thing you need to check is the power cord, these run on 220 volts you may have one side of the cord that bad or burned off the terminal block in the back of the range. the clock will still light up but without 220 volts (both sides of the cord) then the burners wont work. let me know what you find. thanks Bryan
