My dishwasher keeps making a noise at the end of the cycle, kind of like some kind of sump pump is still running but hasn't turned off as it should. It just started doing this. Pressing the 'off' button on front the machine does not stop the noise, but switching it off at the mains does stop the noise. Any idea what the problem is, and how to fix it?
Hi, welcome to Just Answer. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be helping you with your problem today. If anything isn't clear, please just ask me.

Can you tell me, are you able to start a new cycle or is it just constantly making this noise?

When its making this noise, does it stop if you open the door?

Lastly, can you tell me the make and model number please?

Thanks
Rob

I haven't tried starting a new cycle yet.

The noise doesn't not stop when I open the door.

I believe it's an OKO FAVORIT 5040 BIO.

Hi
Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX

It sounds like the machine has water in the base, where the pumps are.

This sets the flood guard and the discharge pump will run continuously in an effort to protect the electrics in the base.
Turn off the electric.
Pull machine forward.
Put towels down behind the machine.
Tilt machine back at 45 degrees.
Water will come out the back.
The machine should now be reset.
If this re occurs you have a leak and will need to find it and rectify it .

If this is a built in machine, please let me know and Ill give you different instructions to save you dragging it out.

f you need more help, please just ask me.
