Hi
Is this a side by side appliance?
If so if you remove the baskets in the bottom k
half of the freezer is there any ice or frost on the back panel?
Regards
no ice behind baskets
Ok is the freezer still working ok?
If you open both doors feel the center post in the middle and see if its hot.
centre post not hot
What about the freezer does it still seem to be working ok?
Are you able to remove the back panel inside the freezer?
sometimes the food seems to start thawing i can remove the back panel inside the the freezer if you require that
If you can empty the freezer and remove the back panel.
From there you will see the evaporator. Check to see if this is blocked up with ice.
Or see if its a thin coating of frost on it.
Let me know what you find.
no frost coating on evaporator
Ok can you hear the compressor running at the back?
yes i can hear the compressor by the way the sense symbol seemed to be coming on a lot
Ok the 6th sense light will be comming on more often as its not cold enough in there so 6th sense will kick in to try and get it cold.
Is the fridge still working ok or has this warmed up?
fridge seems to be perfect
Ok if the fridge is working fine then the evaporator inside the freezer should be frosting over as this is were the fridge gets its cooling from.
Was there any ice or frost on the evaporator at all inside the freezer?
virtually no frost
Ok sounds like it may be a system fault on this im afraid.
As if the compressor is running then the complete evaporator should be covered in ice. As its not then its possibley either short of gas a blockage in the system or a poor pumping compressor.
But for these a fridge enginner will need to attch there gauges on the pipe work at the back to see whats happing in there.
Im afraid this part isnt a diy fix.
