Hi. We have a hotpoint wml 730 washing machine. It has stopped mid cycle and all lights on the lights on the front buttons are flashing. We have tried turning the machine off at the mains and tried the pump out option but nothing seems to be working alhtough it will fill with water if i start a wash cycle again.,Thanks
Hiya,
When the lights are flashing, look at the column of lights on the right.
Number them with 1 at the bottom.
Which numbers are flashing and which numbers are lit?
.
Thanks
None of the lights on the right were flashing although i think number 3 was lit. The lights that were flashing were the horizontal buttons, (super rinse, extra rinse, mini load, reduced creases and start/pause.
You need to try the machine again.
I need to know, exactly what the column of lights on the right are doing.
This is how the machine shows an error code.
superwash, extra rinse, mini load, reduce crease, and start /pause are flashing. 1 and 3 are lit on the column on the right if they were numbered as 1 being the bottom. hope this is the info you require.
OK, thanks for that.
That's showing F05 fault.
Has the machine stopped full or empty of water?
If it's full, try the following.
It's a lot of work but it should cure the problem.
Check the drain hose where it connects to the house drains.
If onto a connection, take the hose off and check both for a blockage.
If blocked, clear the blockage, refit the hose and try the machine again.
If ok, you'll need to manually remove the remaining water from the machine.
Put a shallow dish in front of the filter/pump cover. (Bottom front of the machine)
You may need to take a plastic cover below the front panel off to access the filter cap.
Slacken the cap a little to drain the water.
Tighten the cap to stop the water when you need to empty the container.
(If you pull the machine out and tilt it rearward, you can get a larger container in place for a while).
Once the machine is empty of water, take the cap off.
Clean out any debris in there.
Once cleaned out, take the laundry out of the machine.
With the cap off, put the machine on spin only.
Listen at the open filter to see if the pump is running.
(You should see the pump impellor rotating)
If the pump isn't running, let me know.
If the pump is running, refit the cap and try the machine again.
If it stopped empty, let me know.
If there's no filter or screw cap, let me know.
Let me know what you find or get back to me if you need more help.
Hope this helps
Let me know how it goes
