Hi there and welcome to the site, thank you for your inquiry today,

Do you see any ice build up on the rear panel inside your freezer near the air vents and fan please?

Is the noise there all the time?

Customer replied 267 days and 19 hours ago.

Yes I did say there was a small amount of ice at the sides of fan not touching it though

Hi Hazel,

The first thing you need to do is switch off the fridge and do a full defrost to clear the appliance of any ice. Ice on or near the evaporator means reduced air flow, which in turn means the fan has to work harder.

If after doing a full defrost (6-8 hours) the fan is still nosiy and it isn't touching anything, then the electric motor on the fan itself is worn out and will require replacement*

A noisy fan that isn't rubbing anything means a faulty fan* That is where the problem will be.

If you need a parts contact or anything, just let me know, I will see what I can find for you, not a problem at all.

Please remember to rate my assistance on the service I have provided you.

If you have any further questions, please just ask me, I’m happy to meet your expectations today and receive a good rating for my advice regarding your inquiry,

Thank you.
