Customer Question

I have a indesit wie137s washing machine which stops half way through a cycle and flashes "DOOR" then nothing else can be done, i had to drain manually then the door will open, tried again the same thing happens. Any answers, Thanks.

Already Tried:
I have replaced the motor brushes as they had worn fully down. Initially this seemed to have worked for a couple of washes but then the DOOR flashed up again.

Hi

Have you chked the door lock?

Have a look at the wiring on the door lock and see if its burnt out?

Also if set to a spin only cycle will the drum turn at all?

Let me know what you find.

Regards

i have checked the door lock wiring ok, so i took the lock apart and there was a broken piece at the back of the bi-metallic strip, it does not spin at all if set to spin only, the red lock sign comes on for a second then goes off so nothing happens.

Hi

If the motor failes on these washers it will cause the door lock light to flash.

Check the wiring on the motor.
Take the brushes out again and reseat them. Get a dry cloth and try and get rid of any access carbon dust on the armature. Then retry and see how it goes from there.

Let me know what happens.

Regards
