Washing Machine ZWF16070 W1: after a SuperQuick wash, it won't respond to Spin. I have selected Off first, as instructed. After a few seconds, the Start button turns red.Is this a feature of SuperQuick? On a previous ossasion, I emptied and tested the pump, found no blockage except some cleaning deposits around the housing, refilled with 2 litres water and it then worked.
Already Tried: As explained in the question. Have also tried switching off and powering off at the wall before trying again. Still no result.
Hi
Ok lets see what the error code is.
To do this turn the dial to any setting a part from the first on the right and let it light up.
Then press and hold the start button and the button to the left of it.
Keep them held in till the leds go out and let go.
Now the start button will be flashing.
Count the number of red flashes
Then the number of green flashes and let me know.
Regards
Did that. Got 4 red and 1 green (then a pause and it flashed as usual for a programme).
I seem to have picked up your message again but answer is 4 red, 1 green.
By the way, you replied much more quickly than I expected! But I had to go out for a while.
Ok if you close the door and select any cycle and press start will the door lock?
Yes.
Ok so if you select a was cycle what actually happens?
Does the drian pump run for a few seconds then stop?
Will it start to fill with water?
The machine never fails to do a wash and it drains etc. properly.
It will also normally do a further Spin.
It does seem to fail to Spin only after it has completed a SuperQuick wash, as it did this morning.
Ok so the problem is just the spin is it.
If you set it to just a spin on its own will this work?
When we tried earlier, it did not work.
However, I tried just now, and it is working!
Have you done some magic, or is it a residual heat problem? Maybe I should leave it to you to solve it!
Just a thought. You asked about the door. We did have a new up-dated door latch fitted under warranty some months ago, when we had not been able to open it (at the end of a programme). Could that be causing the problem - but why only with SuperQuick selected?
Ok try this and see what happens.
Turn the dial to off.
Then press and hold the start button and the button to the left again and keep them held in.
Now turn the dial 1 click clockwise
Once the leds start to flash let go of the buttons.
Now turn the dial 7 clicks clockwise and see if the drum will go into a fast spin. But make sure theres nothing inside it.
If it does then turn it 2 more clicks clockwise and see if theres anothe error code.
Count the flashes from the end light and the flashes from the start and let me know.
Then turn the washer off then on then back off again.
Let me know what happens
OK. Got the 4 red, 1 green both times.
Then Off then, to switch On, I selected first programme ( 1 click right) but did NOT press Start. Switched Off again. Could then open Door.
Should I have pressed Start to actually run the programme?
I did not spot any flashes from the end light, but maybe I had my hand covering it.
Ok the error code is a door closed.
You are going to have to run a few washes and when it goes wrong do the same again to get the error code out and see if its a different code.
So run it for a few days then try it again and see what the code is and let me know.
Thanks for trying but we do not seem to have sorted it, so I will do as you say.
How do I get back to you? Should I save the current website address?
You will have emails with a link be back here so save 1 of the emails and you can get back to me.
OK. Thanks again.
