Customer Question

Our washing machine has started to act up lately when a wash cycle is put on.Most common cycle is no3 cycle wash @ 40% & 1200rpm,wash starts but after a short time stops & f-10 starts to flash up & won,t carry on cycle. We have tried switching machine off & putting it back on again after short period, sometimes that rectifies the fault other times not,we sometimes left it off overnight & that seemed to work but today even that is not working, please advise.

Hiya,

F10 indicates a fault with the pressure switch.

It can be the switch, the wiring or the main control board.

Unplug the appliance.

Take the top off.

Locate the circular shaped pressure switch, it's at the side, near the top.

It has a very thin tube attached (not a hose).

Take the tube off.

Blow down the tube to move any debris.

Give the switch a couple of good taps with your screwdriver handle.

Refit the tube.

Unplug the wires from the switch and plug them back on.

Try the machine again.

If still the same, it's very likely you'll need the main control board replaced and then programmed to the appliance.

It may be worth trying a new pressure switch first, but it's normally the control board.

(Unplugging for 10 minutes and plugging in again can reset the software, this is probably why it's worked in the past, now,it would suggest faulty software or board).

Check it out, see how it goes and get back to me if you need more help

Hope this helps

Thanks
