We have just taken our fridge freezer out of storage and it doesn't get cold. I had a man out today but he doesn't do whirlpool but says he thinks it is the compressor and suggests we should call a whirlpool engineer. Is it a difficult job to change compressor ourselves?
Optional Information: Brand: whirlpool Type of Appliance: Other Already Tried: It is a fridge/freezer with icemaker. Have removed internal back panel...copper piece is cold but freezer and fridge are not

I'm afraid you can't change it yourself, unless you have all the necessary specialised equipment.
For a compressor or refrigerant fault, you'll need to get a refrigeration engineer in to sort it out.
