OK, thanks for that.
Unfortunately the fault isn't making logical sense.
It's possible there's more than 1 fault.
F01 is a fault with the motor circuit, normally the triac on the main control board.
This could be part of the reason why nothing happens when the motor should turn.
If it is the motor and/or control board then I'm afraid you are looking at a very expensive repair.
If a new control board is fitted, it has to be programmed to the appliance after fitting.
Unplug the appliance.
Take the rear panel off.
Take the main board out (bottom left when viewed from the rear).
Take each plug off, ensure it's clean, dry and tight fitting.
Check the circuit board as you pull the plug off.
Plug back on.
Reassemble the appliance and try it again.
If still the same, I would suggest calling Hotpoint to get the details and prices of their latest fixed price repair plans.
All include parts and labour so if it's a board and reprogramming, it works out much cheaper than diy repair.
Sorry, not an easy fix or an inexpensive one.
Hope this is of some help
Let me know how it goes
