I have a Leisure HJA6100 Fridge/Freezer and am having trouble stopping the bottom section of the fridge from freezing. It has frozen the water dispenser pipes at the back and so the water dispenser has stopped working (obviously). At the same time the ice in the ice maker compartment started to melt but the draws still appear to be frozen. I have tried to set a higher temp on the fridge section and switch the "chiller" to "crisper" setting, can't see anything else i can alter. Is there something i need to do at the back of the unit?
Hi
Ok what you will find is the evaporator fan inside the freezer has failed. So what happens is the cold air is drawen in from the bottom of the fridge and this is why it freezes from the bottom up in the fridge section.
So to cure this you will need to replace the evaporator fan inside the freezer section at the top and you will find this will cure the problem.

Is this an easy job for me to do or would a pro need to do it?
If your quite handy at DIY then you should be ok.
The only trouble is its behind the ice maker inside the freezer.
So you need to take out the ice maker and the ice motor at the back in the top section in the freezer.
From there you can then pull of the back panel and get access to the fan motor from there.
But like i said the harder part is taking the ice maker and ice motor off but this is just a case of unscrewing the screws holding them on.
