I have a Bosch classixx 1200 express. At the start of the program

Resolved Question:

I have a Bosch classixx 1200 express. At the start of the program it fills with a little water, empties the detergent drawer and then stops. The clock counts down, but nothing else happens.

I have checked the filter on the front of the machine and is OK. Is there anything else I can check?

Can you post the E-Nr number of the appliance please?

It should be on a label in the door recess.

How are your diy skills?

The most likely cause of the problem is the carbon brushes in the motor have worn out.

Unplug the appliance

Take the rear panel off.

Unplug the motor.

If you have, and can use, a multimeter, test the motor to see if it's open circuit and failed.

Take the bolts holding the motor to the tub off.

Take the motor off and out of the appliance.

Check the carbon brushes.

If worn out (most likely) or broken, fit new ones.

Refit the motor and reassemble the appliance.

Try the machine again.

If you are lucky, it will run again.

If you are unlucky it will have damaged the timer pcb.

Check it out, see what you find.

Hope this helps
