OK thanks for that.If you intend to repair this your self then you need to do some checks.Either the element has failed or the thermal cut out has failed.You can check both these parts for continuity using a multimeter.
Def not repairing it myself! Would it be an expensive job to get it fixed?
Not especially. Total cost of the parts would be less than £60 plus labour.You could get a fixed price repair by booking a service call online at repaircare.
Many thanks I have booked an online repair - have told them your opinion. You have saved me a lot of hassle, I would probably just have gone and bought a new one.
