I have a Hotpoint Aquarius Dishwasher FDL570. S/N 90929 0533. Problem

Customer Question

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius Dishwasher FDL570. S/NNNN-NN-NNNN

Problem is as follows

The two red lights on the right,(next to the power on/off button) and the orange light (top left 'wash') are flashing.
The pump is running continuously.
If the machine is powered down (by pressing the power on/off button) it will restart with flashing lights and pump running within 3 seconds.

Any help would be appreciated - I am an electrical engineering lecturer and have an excellent knowledge of control systems.

Just to recap, every time you set the dishwasher and turn it on, you can hear the pump running?
Can you pour some water into the dishwasher and see if the water is pumped away ? Then we will know which pump is running.

Hi, I have the problem solved. It was a leak causing the float switch to operate. I drained the sump and sorted the leak. Machine now back in operation.
