our samsung fridge/freezer temp gauge started flashing last

Resolved Question:

our samsung fridge/freezer temp gauge started flashing last night on the freezer side. Also, there was no suction on the freezer door. we cleaned the seals, moved the fridge a little, turned it off and back on and the temp screen changed to 3degrees C. After a small amount of time the freezer started to cool down again, but only got to -13C instead of -20C. We fiddled with the seals again, but the temp just began to rise again. And this time it happened on the Fridge side too. Eventually we noticed the sound of running water on the freezer side again, and a fan seemed to be working on the fridge side too. It seems to be back to normal, but what could have caused it? We bought this fridge within the last 2 years from a major retail outlet in Australia.

Is this a side by side? Or top/bottom unit?

Usually, if this is a side by side, we start at the temperature sensors. This part usually breaks and confuses the computer and would create abnormal functions of the unit.

It is a side-by-side unit.

Would you suggest I contact the retailer about this? or Samsung? Or could it just be a one off glitch in the system?

If it is still working fine up to this moment, then might as well hold on the calls to samsung, observe it further, until the problem comes back.

Yes , it could just be a glitch in the system or the power source.
