FA indicates a problem with the optical water indicator.
Take out the filters and on the right wall of the sump you'll see a black grid.
Clean this out carefully, don't burst the membrane.
Once cleaned, pour a kettle of boiling water into the sump getting as much as possible into the black grid.
Reset the appliance, select the hottest wash and try it again.

I've cleaned the black grid in situ carefully with a toothbrush, is it meant to come out?
I;ve got the machine working again on pre wash but at the moment it doesn't want to accept any other programmes. I'm leaving it to finish the pre wash programme at the moment.
