My Sylvania flatscreen Mode 6842 PE A. won,t stay on. Iturn it on with the remote and it turns off in about 3 seconds
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Sylvania is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: 14 years or so,maybe 16
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: I can try it. What should I try
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Just today ,is there a reset switch
JA: Is there anything else important you think the TV Technician should know?

Tried to accept your phone request but although i`m sure your credit is fine there seems to be a problem with payments and even though I`m not privy to billing here this usually means your CC company did not recognize the charges and declined them ,this is usually due to the second charge from the website, you would have to contact them to OK the transaction .
But we can continue in this chat mode as well
