Hello, My name is ***** ***** I'll be helping you with this.
I am reviewing your question and will post again momentarily.
Please send me a hello in the mean time so i know you can see my reply ?

Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

At this time does it show a channel number on the screen ?

Does it say something about channel search ,setup , scan etc. ?

By the way , the phone and other offers are automated by the website , not sent by me

Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

Look on the tv`s remote (or tv`s right side) for the SOURCE button then press it repeatedly to go through the various inputs until you get to your cable/satellite box or select that input from the SOURCE list once opened if you know which one it is , typically HDMI 1 for example.

Let me know how that goes and PLEASE DO TAKE THE TIME TO RATE (stars above and submit)if that does the trick, it does not close this post , you can come back at any time without additional charges if you have further questions or need help and it gets this independent tech. paid for his time helping you .

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
it had something about channels, i did a channel search, looked like it did not work. did not see any channels downloaded
Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

Channel search is used only when you are connected to an antenna or directly from the wall outlet no cable box and totally redundant if not

Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

Try the source button as i suggested above

Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

You are simply on the wrong source /input at this time , you`re in tv mode and probably that HDMI 1 is your correct source

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
ok will try source i saw cable or antenna yesterday, choosecable i beleive
Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

No do not bother with cable or antenna , its totally redundant here , go with the SOURCE

Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

You do have a cable or satellite box yes ?

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
i spoke to a technician on phione for no charge yesterday, whats up with this or do I need to call Philips directly?
Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

Did you think this was free ??

In any case sorry but I am not privy to any of the money matters or subscription or trials etc. etc. not an employee here but an independent tech. that gets paid by this website once you rate me for my help .

Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

If you`re going to rate , please do not base your rating on the workings of this website , i have no control over that and the rating is to evaluate my work and efforts to help you which is quite different

I hit source on tv and HDMI II came up, now what?
Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

O.k and do you have a picture there ??

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
I have satleitte box, i did not see this ?
Customer: replied 11 days ago.
no,it says no signal
Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

You have a sat. box ?

If so then make sure it is turned on then try all the inputs if you have to , one of them will be your sat. box

You can also look on the rear left side of the tv , that is where it will be plugged in , just read what input number is ***** where it is connected and select it in the source list

Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

Is your satellite receiver turned on ?

Is it connected into hdmi 2 or 1 , try them both

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
Jack its plugged in to HDMI II, which is what came up on source,
Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

O.k then is it ON , is the cable connected securely on both ends ?

Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

What is in HDMI 1 by the way ?

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
HDMI, II
Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

I know , its not what i`m asking

What is in HDMI 1 is what i`m asking please

Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

Did you look on the tv to see where the sat. box is connected ?

If nothing in hdmi 1 then try it there

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
MY SOURCE HAS HDMI I, TUNER HDMI II TV HAS TO B ON TUNER TO VIEW STATIONS, WHICH Iguess means channels r not loaded on the hdmi outputs, is that correct, how di i load channels once on source?, or am i way off this conversation?
Expert:  Jack replied 11 days ago.

Your last statement seems the best one ,sorry

How do you mean the source is on hdmi one but the tuner (i guess satellite receiver) is on hdmi 2 ???

Here is a check list for you ;

1. reboot the satellite box by pulling out its power cord 30 secs

2. replace the HDMI cable if you have a spare

3. try all 3 of your HDMI inputs in case you have one defective

Right now if you selected the correct source and still have no signal then you either have a defective satellite box or hdmi cable or tv

Jack, sorry i canno6t keep running from room-room- I am walking with cane due to stroke in nov. thank you for your help,
I WILL TRY AND CALL PHILIPS DIRECTLY, Bob
Expert:  Jack replied 10 days ago.

Wont be better with Philips , they still will have you try different things

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
i agree but talking is easier than going from room-room, not paying for customer service, like $26.00, I understand you independent, etc.
Expert:  Jack replied 10 days ago.

I mean they won`t just talk , they will go through the same thing i did unless they have a crystal ball

Expert:  Jack replied 10 days ago.

Good luck then

Over and out
