Turned it on, made a popping sound, then nothing. Could it

Customer Question

Turned it on, made a popping sound, then nothing. Could it be a blown fuse?
JA: What's the model number of your TV? How old is it?
Customer: Vizio E321VL. I've had it about 4 years, I think.
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: Nothing works
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Tried to turn it on Saturday, May 13th
JA: Is there anything else the expert should be aware of?
Customer: Not that I can think of.

OK, it could be fuse but most likely the regulator chips on power supply board has got defective and pop sound was due to busted chips. Either replace the bad parts on power supply board (a repair kit available) or replace entire power supply board in TV to fix the problem, click following supplier link to view required repair kit or power supply board price info..

I'm sorry there is no easy or quick fix for this problem and it is definitely hardware failure that needs defective board replacement to resolve the issue.
I trust my input will help you out to make decision about this TV repair or invest that money on new replacement TV.
