MY pioneer kuros 60" plasma suddeny won't go to standby

Customer Question

MY pioneer kuros 60" plasma suddeny won't go to standby anymore. The main power switch on lower left still turns tv on manually. TV still works fine, but will not go down to red LED power state which is standby which allows the remote to be used. The remote is not working either. The red light on it blinks when buttons are pressed, but it is not controlling the tv. This all seemed to happen after some brown outs we had here recently. TY
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Pioneer is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: i will check rear. brb.
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: model # is PDP-6010FD
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: dish remote still works for tv about a week now
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: That should do it. thx

Offhand, these symptoms all point to a component failing within the TV. Can you please tell me what devices were affected after the brown outs (cable box failed, router/modem failed, etc.)?
