Are you able to see the LG menu screens at all?
Yes I"m here, but I would need some specific details to be able to help.Can you please look at the back of the tv, and note the full model number printed there?
Can you give me some other details about then tv then if you can't get the model?The age? Size? Type (led, lcd, plasma)?

Okay so it is a tube tv then.
Can you see even the tvs own menu screens (there should be a menu button on the front of the tv)
Okay so what do you have connected to this tv?A cable or satellite box?
