How did your cable company (comporium ) reboot that cable box , from their office ?

That no good , try this ;
Pull the cable box`s power cord off the wall outlet (cable box only) for a minute.In the mean time turn off the tv and turn it back on only after you plug back the cable box power cord.Note that it may take a couple of minutes for the cable box to reboot after you plug it back ,just give it time.

How did that reboot go ?
If you still have no sound even though the sound check came out o.k then that cable box is defective
You could try something else like a dvd player , game etc.to verify that or simply connect the cable directly into the tv`s antenna terminal and set your tv to a channel , you should have sound there .
