Facing TV Problems? Ask a TV Technician.
Sorry for the delay! Regardless, I will do my best to provide you with excellent service. I have been helping people on this site since 2009. My main goal is to add you to the growing list of satisfied customers.
I see you were chatting with the site assistant. I am reviewing those details now and would like to hear from you asap so that I know you are ready to proceed.
-What is the full model number printed on the back of the tv?
-Any other parts/work done?
Any other parts/work done?
Yes, Any other parts/work done?
Has the lamp ever been replaced?
Where did you get it?
How much did it cost?
What is "Aaron's 3599"? Is that the price of the tv? When did you buy it?
Have you pulled the lamp out and inspected it for cracks/bulges in the glass?
Do you own a DMM?
Do you have previous experience measuring live voltages?
There are some tests that need to be performed with a DMM while the tv is plugged in. If you have previous experience measuring live voltages, I can give you a copy of the service manual and point you in the right direction. What I can't do is teach you how to use a meter etc. The code 57 has three possible causes:
-Loss of 340V from POWER board to Ballast - Check PL & CJ1 circuitry.
-Loss of communications between MAIN and Ballast - Check FB & CJ3 circuitry.
I will give a link to the manual next.... if you desire. But if you do not have the needed skills and tools then having it repaired by a local shop is your best option. I can help you with that too, just provide your zip code.
If you need more help or don't understand something use the REPLY option and you may also submit a 3 to 5 star rating at the top of this page now so that I am recognized for helping with your question. Rating does not close your question or prevent future replies which are at no additional cost. The longer you wait to submit a rating, the less chance I will receive recognition.
