I am I able to watch dvd's on model #E390-B0, 49" screen(diagonal) I've tried with no success. Serial # LAFTAPSBQ1200863, HDMI
JA: What's the exact make and model of your television? And have you done any troubleshooting yourself?
Customer: SORRY, I am a senior and I lose it every other moment. It's a VIZIO
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: All else seems to work ok
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I've never watch dvd's on this TV. It is 1year old. I was using a 26" Sony and decided on larger screen. DVD'S played well on the Sony.
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I am stupid when it comes to electronics. will do my best to respond to questions.

Okay thanks. Leave them plugged in on the DVD where they were, then on the TV:

Connect the Yellow to the Greenish/Yellow port labeled "Y/V", then connect the Red and Whites to the Red and Whites all the way to the right of those jacks.

Then use the original Vizio remote's INPUT button to select "AV", or "Video" to see the picture.
