Have TV Questions? Ask a TV Technician
Hi, I'm Pete. Welcome to JustAnswer! I'm reviewing your question now, and will post back with your reply ASAP.
Please confirm the model number?
Have you tried doing a factory reset using the menu?
I do not recognize the model number you originally provider.
Please confirm the full model number on the rear of the TV?
A factory reset of the 42PQ30R won't be possible without being able to access the menu.
Does the TV still respond to the original remote control that came with it?
Could you attach a photo of what is showing on the TV screen?
You will need to use a remote to reset the TV - what remote are you using? Is it the one that came originally with the TV? Do any buttons on the remote work at all (e.g. volume)?
Yes that is correct - you will need to use an original LG remote.
