Hi I am Mike, the field technician assigned to help you. If you see a pop up for phone call service, it was not sent by me and I am not available by phone. To get started, I need to know you can see this message and are able to reply to me here.

-Are you talking about the original Vizio remote or a cable/sat/universal remote?

-Is the tv on? has picture/sound?

-Do the buttons on the tv itself work?

Appears the site sent you an automatic pop up for phone call service. As I already stated, this was not sent by me, and I am not available by phone. In the mean time we can continue our chat...

Tv is connected to cable box and is on and working

Please try unplugging the tv power cord for 3 full minutes, plug back in, then test if the remote works or not.

You can also test the IR output of your remote with a digital camera/phone camera:
-point the remote at the camera lens
-press buttons on the remote
-watch the camera screen
-you should see a flashing light coming from the tip of the remote

If you don't, you need to buy a new remote:

If you need more help or don't understand something use the REPLY option and you may also submit a 3 to 5 star rating at the top of this page now so that I am recognized for helping with your question. Rating does not close your question or prevent future replies which are at no additional cost. The longer you wait to submit a rating, the less chance I will receive recognition.

Thanks
Mike
