Hi, I'm Nathan.
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble, but I'll do my best to help you. Please give me a few moments to review your details here.

You need to change the input on the tv, to match whatever port that panasonic is plugged into, such as hdmi1, hdmi2, etc.
From there it will switch over to the recorder input, and then you can press play on the panasonic remote.

Let me know if you get stuck.

Thanks,
Nathan
