JA: What's the exact make and model of your television? And what have you tried as far as getting this connected goes?
Customer: I'm looking. Meanwhile I have tried Netflix online help, and technicians said it was a Vizio problem
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: The menu works. I don't know about sources/inputs.
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: At least 4 months. the netflix logo appears, and the "bars appear" but they do not move, followed by the sign "cannot connect to netflix" We have changed passwords, etc.
JA: Anything else you want the tv expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I thought you were the expert.

Can you go into the tv settings menu with the vizio remote, under the network settings, and manually set the DNS address to 8.8.8.8 and let me know if that helps?

Okay try deleting it then, go back through the wifi setup again from the beginning and let it auto set everything on its own and test again, please.

This is the initial setup process that you used to connect to the home wifi network when you got the tv.

You are just repeating the process again,under wifi under the network settings on the tv.

Go into the network part of the menu, then under wireless/wifi, and you should be able to set a new connection.

What is your WPA number. I've put in a password ***** must be the wrong one?

If it is correct, it should be accepted. Note that if it asks you for a WPS pin that is the wrong type of connection, you need to be in the password ***** not pin.

I checked my Keychain app and I have the correct password, which I have typed in at least 20 times. Perhaps I should find help elsewhere? Any suggestions?

This is the WIFI password, it would not be the same as your iphone or icloud password.

If you think you are you using the right one, you can also try fully resetting the tv, in the vizio menu you should have a Factory Reset (initial settings) option, that will restart the wifi process so you can try again that way.
