Our Sony TV hasn't worked for a long time. When we turn on either of the two remotes we have, we get a "no signal" message, but no picture and no sound.
JA: What's the make and model of your tv, and has turning it on been a problem in the past?
Customer: It's a Sony, model KDL-32L5000. It worked fine when we first got it but we haven't been able to turn it on for several years now.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I'd guess this has been a problem for at least two to three years. The only troubleshooting we've done until now is to keep trying to turn it on.
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?

Can you please remove the power to the TV (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then on the actual TV, hold the power button for 60 seconds then release.

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the TV, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.
