Here are the full steps:
1. Connect the VGA to HDMI converter to the laptop, and connect the HDMI cable from the converter to the TV.
2. Use the TV remote control in order to set the source / input menu of the TV to the appropriate HDMI port.
3. On the laptop's keyboard, press at the same time the two keys Fn and F5 in order to switch the display from laptop's screen to TV's screen.
- Or on the laptop, go to Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization / Display -> Adjust resolution, then there, adjust the Multiple displays option.
