My Samsung smart TV keeps starting up with multi colored

Customer Question

My Samsung smart TV keeps starting up with multi colored lines and takes 4-7 minutes to clear and goes to a clear picture.
JA: How old is your Samsung, and have you tried unplugging it and leaving it off for a few hours?
Customer: 5 years. It is now every time I turn it on.
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: I am not sure - I only use Netflix via my bluray
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: one week. Nothing.
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: The lines are vertical rainbow spectrum

I see you were chatting with the site assistant. I am Mike, the field technician assigned to help you. If you see a pop up for phone call service, it was not sent by me and I am not available by phone. To get started, I need to know you can see this message and are able to reply to me here.

-Are the lines vertical or horizontal?

-Can you get the model number off the back of the tv?

Thank you Mike,
I am at work so do not have the model number
They are vertical just like the Utube video examples.
I think this was the program 2 years ago and they repaired it with a new power source
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
sorry not the cord but the part power goes into the back of the TV

You can try unplugging the power cord for the tv and related equipment for 3 minutes and re-seating the audio/video cables. But vertical lines is usually hardware failure that requires parts and service. I can help you with that but if you do not have the needed skills and tools then having it repaired by a local shop is your best option. I can help you with that too, just provide your zip code.
