Facing TV Problems? Ask a TV Technician.
Hi, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to help you today. To make sure I don’t miss anything, please give me a minute to review your question.
- Could you please get me the model number written on back of projector?
- What were the original symptoms that prompted you to replace the lamp?
- Where did you buy the replacement lamp from and how much it cost?
OK, is there any other light lit/ blink along with standby light?
Is the replacement costed lamp $50 or $110?
OK, have you put the lamp cover on projector after lamp replacement?
Dies the lamp/cover light flashes?
If so, please count how many time it does flash, pauses and repeat the same blink pattern.
Please recheck, only standby light can flash 4 times, 2 and 6 times as well.
Lamp/ cover light can blink 2 or 3 times only.
OK, is it Standby light flashing 4 times?
OK and lamp cover light doesn't flash and stay solid?
Sorry about so many questions but have to ask to get correct error code of projector that will help to diagnose the issue.
OK, On/Standby red flashing light indicates cooling fan issue as one of 3 or 4 fans inside projector isn't working and causing the problem.
It needs to take apart the projector to find out any fan that might caught by wire or jammed, if fans are rotating freely then it needs to test volts of fans as one might not be getting volts from fan control circuitry and last thing is that a fan isn't sending out feedback signal to main controller chip and it detects it as fan is bad and shut off the projector to avoid heat damage.
I would recommend to unplug projector power cord for 10 minutes to reset it, replug back in, turn it On and check. If problem persist then need to take apart the projector for further troubleshooting as mentioned above. I hope these info will help. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask.
