It turned off yesterday while watching and now when attempting to turn back on, it blinks ten times and then nothing
JA: What's the model number of your TV? How old is it?
Customer: I'm unsure of the age it was given to me when a family member died. Tc-p50s2
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: The TV will not turn on at all
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Nothing. The TV just shut off and will not turn back on
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?

Hi

10 blinks is a fault code the set has aproblem likely to be the mainboard OR the power-board checks with a volt\ohm meter would be needed to verify that, is this something you think you can do yourself?board will cost anywhere between $80_$100

I will provide all necessary info.

Because of the sets age I would not advise a tech to take this on costs could be $300.

I am sorry this is not something easier.

Please provide information on the ability to confirm which is the problem, upon problem confirmation I can assuredly fix the issue with detailed instructions as pertaining to the location of the issue.

OK there is one other piece of info I need, does the 10 blinks happen immediately you plug in the set to wallpower OR does it go to standby red light lit then you use the remote to switch ON then it blinks 10?

I plug the TV in, wait a moment and hit the power button, that is when the blinking begins. The blinking does not happen without pressing the power button
