my sharp 70-le660u wont come on. Just a solid light that wont turn off unless i unplug it
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Sharp is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: i bought it dec 2014. aquos lc-70le660u
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: no, the screen won't come up at all
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: today, when i tried to turn it on. nothing happened
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I already tried to unplug and reset while holding down the side buttons.
JA: Sorry about that. I must have missed it. Could you tell me again?

Try this ;

Unplug the power cord 20 secs or so then while you hold VOLUME DOWN and INPUT directly on the tv , plug the power cord back in .

Let me know if the screen comes up with a letter K

My name is***** am a different tech, the set will not do anything whilst stuck in standby mode it will only override if the light is blinking a code and even then it may not happen its just an override it wont solve anything, the set is stuck in standby you will need to replace the mainboard, do you know how to do that?the mainboard is the one with all the AV connectors attached there will be a part-number on the board itself , with this number go to <<click
