Visio 42 inch smart tv model e430-a0, the pitcure went out

Visio 42 inch smart tv model e430-a0, the pitcure went out but I still have sound. Have unplugged and rep lugged but still no pitcure. Tried using the tv remote and cable remote no luck. Tv is about 3 yrs old.
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Vizio is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: About 3 years old,, model E420-A0
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: Menu dosnt work and don't have anything but cable connected Directv
JA: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Nothing it was working fine, the program I was watching went to commercial, then I got a black screen
JA: Anything else you want the TV expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Sometime I will loose sound, but I will turn the tv off then turn it back on and the sounds comes back.
