Can you give me a couple minutes please ?
There are various options here , is the screen too dark right now ?
I`ll start with the picture modes
Open the menu and go to PICTURE , open that and select PICTURE MODE , try the various settings in there but Dynamic will give you the most brightness .
Be back with more
There are 3 main adjusts for the screen brightness ,
Set your tv to STANDARD mode then go to BACKLIGHT and adjust that to taste and then brightness and contrast should also be available in the picture menu when the mode is set to standard
Let me know how that goes
Backlight will be your most effective adjust here if the screen is dark

If you open the tv`s menu , you cannot see the PICTURE selection ??
I have your tv`s manual here that shows it clearly !
Not in TOOLS but in MENU123
Actually for your model it is simply MENU but not TOOLS
Found it ?
As I said , the backlight will have the most effect but you can also try the various presets in PICTURE MODE or adjust them manually there with bright ,contrast etc.
All Samsung tv have a MENU button and PICTURE and if you gave me the correct model number I DO have the correct manual
Again , ALL Samsung TV's have a PICTURE MENU
Did you find that menu button just above TOOLS ??
Take a look here at the link below , that's from your TV's manual ;
Your tv has a built-in manual called E-MANUAL and there is a button on the remote for it , this manual also gives you direct connection with the picture menu , you will see "TRY NOW" beside the options , just as in the link I just sent you
