My Bravia tv will lose satellite connection while on, saying

My Bravia tv will lose satellite connection while on, saying no signal. Connected via HDM 1
JA: What's the exact make and model of your television? And what have you tried as far as getting this connected goes?
Customer: Bravia KDL-48W650D. I just wait and eventually it will re connect
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: About two weeks, I've made sure the cable is tight, tried using the tv remote to change input, but none of that seems to work
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?

That being said , a few questions coming up ;

While this is happening , what do you see on the screen ?

a small box that says no signal. Check the external input or select another input

O.k then it seems the tv is losing the signal from the sat. box .

Is it doing this right now ?

The picture just came back on

O.k then turn off the tv and sat. box then pull out the hdmi cable back in securely

Better yet turn it around in case of bad contacts this will change the location of those contacts

Let me know how that goes and we`ll try something else if that doesn` do it

You may want to try a new cable as well or another input on the tv
