Customer Question

I have a Bravia model KDL-40S2010. I can no longer see the channels, change the input type, access the set up screen etc. I am wondering if there is a way to reset the TV. Unfortunately I don't have the original remote and all of the solutions I have seen online require holding the "up" arrow on the remote. Can you assist?

Hi Ron,

You can do this through the Menu button on the TV itself.

Navigate using the Prog buttons and select using Input select/OK.

Go to Settings > All Reset which will launch Auto Start Up

Let me know if that helps.

I'm not sure this is going to work. All I have is a blank, black screen. I cannot navigate to any of the screens using the universal remote that came with my satellite provider and I do not have the original remote. Is there a way to like disconnect the power and then re-start after to get a reset screen or something? I can't see paying $28 bucks for not solving my issue.

I am not going to authorize any more $$$. Chat is going to have to work as opposed to a call. If that will not suffice, just refund what has been deducted so far and I'll move on to another channel.

Hi Ron,

Yes, do try powering off and on at the mains electricity.

Then, does the TV have a Menu button on the top?

If so try pressing that and let me know what you see.
