I currently use AT&T U-Verse, but just bought a new Vizio 43" Class (42.5" Diag.) 4K Ultra HD Smart Home Theater Display E43U-D2, and don't know how to set it up to be compatible with AT&T U-Verse. Any suggestions?

In any case you would need to be near your equipment

Seems to me like you have 2 separate problems here ;

Smarcast and "no signal" which are not related

The smarcast app basically turns your phone into a remote control but the no signal is the first problem you should be dealing with using the TV's and cable box remote .

Forget the app for now and get the cable box working and for that I would need you to be there so if you can reach me from home later on we could work on this.
