Can you elaborate on that " Enjoy select ..... " , what does it say there in full , is it like the first time setup ?
Does it keep repeating this and also shows you the TV's various features ?

Has to be the issue and I need to look it up , this is not a common model
something odd about the model number you gave me , cant find the manual for it and the only similar reference would be in japan , could you look it up again please ?

Try this ; press and hold the REAR POWER button (on the tv itself) for 5+ secs and you should see "set viewing mode" select HOME
that power button should be on the right hand side

Sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with this but I’ll do my best to help you out.
When this happens, do you see the red light on the front of the tv flashing?Does it happen on all sources/inputs? (cable, dvd, etc)
No problem, that is an automated ad you are seeing, and optional to accept any time.
Will the tv respond to any of the onboard buttons (power, volume, menu, input)?
Okay lets try a reset process before we do anything else:Press and hold the volume down button on the tv itself, while simultaneously pointing the remote at the tv and holding down the MENU button there.
hold until tv powers off then back on, and test for functionality.
Did it show any error/problems on the self check screen?Unplug power for a minute to get it out of that mode and let me know if the problem continues.
Okay go ahead and do the unplug and test if you can get picture/sound
Right because that factory reset process is clearing all settings and restoring it back to its shipping condition.
It seems to be stuck on the viera apps screen at the moment.
Repeat the reset process again please.
If it is stuck there, you can try to power off/on, or unplug again for a few minutes.
Something else is going on here, there may be an underlying hardware fault,
lets try a different process:
1) Unplug the power cord from the outlet
2) Wait at least 1 hour (60+ Minutes)
3) Press and hold the power button (on the set, not the remote) for 60 seconds4) Keep holding power button while plugging back in, and for another 60 seconds after. When plugging back in, go directly to the wall outlet, bypassing any power strips or surge protectors.
That is really indicating a hardware issue at this point then unfortunately.
The last thing we could try is to update the firmware on the tv manually.

follow the prompts to download and install,
you'll have to skip a few steps as you can't check your current version obviously, but this is the latest so worst case it just won't do anything if you already have the same one.
You'll connect the usb drive with power turned off, then turn the tv on and hopefully it will recognize and load the update file

It looks like you may not have the file on the drive properly.
You cannot copy the actual zip file, you have to open it and put the update file inside on the root directory of the drive
