I have a Roku 3 it works great and really no problems until the other day. I had earphones plugged into the remote, all of a sudden the audio quit. At first I thought it was the batteries and changed them to fresh units.
Upon powering up the remote there is no audio output, the audio level control shows no numbers to indicate the degree of loudness. Along side the ear phone icon is something that appears to be an exclamation mark. !! Looks like this ! no control of audio output and nothing heard in the head phone jack.
I also shut everything down, tried paring procedure, the remote and main unit pair up, but same result with the headphone output.

Well , for one thing I don't think the Roku box itself lost the sound if it shows an exclamation mark to say there is no audio but rather its connection to that network .

First thing here is to unplug the Roku `s power cord 2 or 3 minutes or so

As I described the remote audio in the headphones quit suddenly, after the headphone Icon there appears to be an exclamation point Looks like this !!!! No level numbers appear any longer

O.k but you lost the sound on the tv itself as well or only the HP ?
